Welcome to Miss Margie's classroom!

Munchkin Land PreSchool is an academically based program that prepares young students for the structure and demands of school.  Not only does Miss Margie teach her charges their letters, numbers, colors, and shapes but they also learn how to line up and take turns, how to follow instructions, and how to learn in a group. 

Regular field trips and participation in local events introduce children to the communities in which they live.  They learn to share, sing, and play games with other children who often become lifelong friends. 

They learn to describe their environment with a daily look at the weather and the seasons.  They also begin to gain some perspective about the passage of time by learning the date and year on the calendar along with the days of the week and the months of the year.

For years Lake County parents have been entrusting their children's first learning to Miss Margie.  The small class size and homey classroom nestled among the pines on the top of a hill in her yard ensure lots of individual loving attention in a comforting and unstressful environment.  This is not 'advanced daycare,' children who graduate from the Munchkin Land PreSchool program are very well prepared to be successful Kindergarteners and active learners.
